It's the little things.
I'm having a Goldilocks moment.
Gooood morning!
When I remembered to drink my tea this morning, it was the perfect temperature and had just the right amount of honey. It tasted like happiness.
I hope today brings you your own tiny delights, ballet friend. It's the little things that make the biggest difference:
the perfect cup of tea
mini movement breaks that kept my brain feeling fresh while I trudged through my taxes last month (they’re healthy, too)1!
the attention to detail that makes ballet magical — leading with fingertips, then elbows, then shoulders in beginner ballet port de bras
a ballet barre that's just the right height...
I've been missing my high-backed chair/makeshift barre that didn't make the cut when I moved to my current apartment. I make do with my countertop, but it's a little on the low side. A couple of us in beginner ballet might try McGyver-ing a few extra inches of barre height with pool noodles this summer. I'll keep you posted 😉
If you've DIY'd a barre or dance floor — or found a great ready made one available for purchase, please, please, please send me the deets!
I'd love to put together a crowd sourced list of what works really well for dancing at home.
Hit reply to let me me know your home studio secrets (or DIY disasters I can go ahead and skip).
May your beverage always be the perfect temperature,
Natasha
