• Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall says an appraisal of an Island hospital wasn't done by his department because the work was too specialised.
• In the House of Keys this week he faced questions from Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson about the property appraisal commissioner by Manx Care.
• He wanted to know why the work at Ramsey Cottage Hospital had been done by a UK company and not the DOI, which is responsible for the site.

3FM · Health11:00 Another top Manx Care post to become vacant • Another senior Manx Care post is set to become vacant next month. • That’s according to Health Minister Claire Christian, in response to a Tynwald question for written reply from Douglas North MHK John Wannenburgh. • She said the contract of the interim director of operations won’t be renewed next month.

Manx Radio · Energy06:43 Andreas residents 'excited' about renewable energy grid plans on former airfield • Landowner Robert Morrey says the scheme will support farming industry. • A public consultation was held this week for residents in Andreas, and the wider northern community to have their say on a proposal to build a renewable energy farm on the former airfield. • Plans from developer IPV Flexgen and landowner Robert Morrey show a solar panel farm and an anaerobic digestor could be used to support increasing electricity flow in the parish.

3FM · Island News16:15 Downhill skating event needs marshals • The Island's biggest skateboarding event of the year is looking for marshals. • The World Downhill Skateboarding Championship will return to the Isle of Man on Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5. • This year competitors will take on the TT course from Joey’s down into Ramsey, but needs 20 marshals.

3FM · Island News15:38 US military paper touts Isle of Man as destination • An American military newspaper has published a list of reasons to visit the Island. • The European edition of Stars and Stripes is running a story encouraging servicemen and women to take a trip here. • It describes a unique mash-up of Celtic and Viking history, wallabies and a friendly independent streak.

3FM · Politics12:17 Minister says government isn't involved in setting Satnav speed limits • Satnav companies collect their own data about speed limits - including the Island's 20mph zones. • So says Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall after a question in the House of Keys from Onchan MHK Julie Edge this week. • She told members about a road on the Island which is derestricted but shows up as having a 20 limit.

IoM Today · Health12:02 Air ambulance gives breakdown of its six callouts during the Isle of Man TT • They include several serious collisions. • The charity, which served as the official charity partner of the 2026 Isle of Man TT Races, attended incidents across the island during the event while also raising more than £18,000 to support its lifesaving work. • One of the most significant call-outs came on Monday, May 25, when the charity’s critical care team was activated at 1.54pm following a road traffic collision in Ramsey.

3FM · Island News06:40 Animal charity needs more storage space • An Island animal charity has applied for planning permission for a storage container for essential supplies. • The ManxSPCA, based on East Foxdale Road in Foxdale says it needs extra space to hold equipment such as reptile aquariums, bird cages, cat traps and animal crates. • It’s applied for permission to put the container in its overflow car park.

IoM Today · Sport16:10 Isle of Man runners shine at Swansea Half-Marathon • Helen Simpson set a new island age-group record at the event. • Leading the Manx contingent was Christa Cain, representing England Masters, who ran superbly to finish fifth woman overall from a field of 2,790 competitors. • Her time of 1 hour 15 minutes 11 seconds also earned her victory in the women’s masters category and the British Masters Half-Marathon Championship title.

IoM Today · Sport15:55 Isle of Man boxer fights for Commonwealth title this weekend • I want to bring a belt back to the Isle of Man - that is literally my dream. • The Grenade will take on Katie Smith at the Toughsheet Community Stadium in Bolton in the pair’s rearranged title bout. • The fight was originally scheduled to go ahead in April, but was called off at the 11th hour after the promoter had some bad health news.

IoM Today · Sport12:07 Manx Middle Distance Triathlon in Ramsey this weekend • The race has drawn nearly 100 competitors. • Sunday’s event covers 70.3 miles and comprises a 1.2-mile swim in Mooragh Lake, a 56-mile bike leg around the north of the island, before ending with a half-marathon (13.1 miles) around the streets of Ramsey. • The race will be started by Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer at 8am and is preceded by two of the club’s promising junior members carrying the Commonwealth Games King’s Baton around the lake.

3FM · Weather09:14 Firefighters to carry mannequin through hills for charity • Four Ramsey firefighters will be carrying a training dummy through the hills in a charity challenge later this month. • They’ll be hauling the mannequin by stretcher from the town’s station, to the top of Sky Hill, then along North Barrule and back - climbing 2,400 feet in elevation. • The men are doing it to raise money for The Firefighters Charity, The Great North Air Ambulance and Isle Stand Up To Suicide.

3FM · Island News07:59 This year's cats eyes installations starting next week • The Department of Infrastructure says it's getting this year's cats eyes installations underway from next week. • Main Road in Colby and Main Road in Ballasalla will be first on the list from Monday, June 15. • The following week, on Monday, June 22, it’ll be the turn of Colby Glen Road.

3FM · Transport07:05 Large rise in airport passenger figures • Ronaldsway airport saw a huge jump in the number of passengers using the facility in May. • The latest figures from the airport show 63,286 people passed through last month, compared to 57,857 last year - a rise of almost 9.5 per cent. • But the total number of passengers so far this year is still down on last year’s tally.
