The Hugo-Finalist Craft Wars
The Craft Wars are a finalist for the Best Series Hugo!
I’m so glad I can finally share this news: the Craft Wars books are a finalist for this year’s Best Series Hugo Award! We’re in there with some august series and excellent fellow writers—I’m writing this in advance so I’ve only been able to pick up a few of the names through the whisper network that the Hugo Committee tries to shut down every year—but I can say it’s a joy and a thrill to share a slate with the folks I know about.
Thank you all—those of you who voted, and those of you who will vote (there’s still time to get yourself a supporting membership and join the fun of the silly season).
Most of all, thanks to everyone who’s read a Craft book, and everyone who’s passed them along. I am so grateful for your continued support. I’ve been writing these books through at least four or five different life-ages of the earth. The story and its scope have grown and changed as I have; as I work on the last volume, I feel wonder and awe at the trust you’ve shown, and gratitude for the chance to unfurl a series at this length. It’s exciting and scary to braid the many threads together—some of these scenes have been building for many books now, and some are transforming under my fingers into more interesting shapes than I could have anticipated. Thank you again. I can’t wait to share the next book with you.
