Discover
Discovering more insights in parenting and living and exploring relational literacy.
Dear fellow parent,
You’ve made it back to this moment. Whether you're hiding in your bedroom for a breath or sitting on the couch between car trips, I’m grateful you’re here.
We’ve been moving through the LEAD Together path once again:
We’ve Leaned In to co-regulation.
We’ve Engaged with self-care.
We’ve Adapted to the transitions that the summer break brings.
And now, we meet the fourth pillar again:
D is for Discover
...new insights about ourselves, our children, and the invisible systems we’re entangled in.
This week in An Seomra Ciúin—The Quiet Room, I have added more content that I hope supports and offers new insight.

I have always wondered about the language we as professionals and therapists use and what they may look like in the home and community of the children and families that I have been with over the years.
So this is my version of what that might look like, I have taken some of it from my own experience in my own home.
Try printing it. Or tape it to the back of your bathroom door.
For your heart:
During my research this month I can across this podcast. Another Irish one focusing on Self-Care for parents. Have a listen and maybe something might spark a light of inspiration for you.
Finally, I came across this resource through Linkedin recently and thought it was a really useful information booklet for everyone to provide information on services and supports for children with additional needs.

Before you go...
Take one breath for your child’s nervous system, pulsing to a rhythm the world may not understand.
And one for the version of you who doesn’t need to have it all figured out.
They are still worthy. You both are.
