Discover

This edition invites us to discover insights within ourselves and our families in a supportive space.

Dear fellow parent,

I’m so glad you’ve come back to this quiet space. Whether today you’re energized or stretched thin—thank you for pausing here with me.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve explored the first three pillars of the LEAD Together path:
We’ve Leaned In to our strengths,
Engaged with purpose and presence,
Adapted with resilience and care.

Each step is a soft rebellion against the noise that tells us we need to fix, prove, or perform.

Today, we arrive at the fourth pillar:

D is for Discover

Discover new insights about ourselves, our children, and the systems we’re moving through.

This is An Seomra Ciúin (The Quiet Room).
Not a checklist, not a curriculum—just a place where we lay things down and listen.
To our own knowing. To each other.

Discover is not about “getting it right.”
It’s about noticing what is already here, already growing.

For your head: a Pause for Presence

I’ve created a gentle reflection resource to help you slow down and reconnect with your breath, your body, and your child—without pressure, without agenda.

[Click here to open Pause for Presence]

Use it however feels good. Download it to be able to edit it on your computer or phone. Print it. Fold it into your notebook. Keep it beside your kettle.

For your heart:

A podcast with Tracy Carroll, a parent and advocate for children who live with life limiting disabilities.

What else will live in An Seomra Ciúin?

In the Discover space, you’ll find:

  • Stories from other families navigating similar paths

  • Articles, books, and audio that invite curiosity, not expertise

  • Reflection practices, creative prompts, and seasonal invitations

  • A place to return to—not to keep up, but to come home

➔ This space will expand over the coming months, for now we can Pause for Presence and listen to Tracy.

Just before you go…

Take one breath for your child.
And one for yourself.
Then ask:

What’s stirring in me today that doesn’t need to be solved—just noticed?

Let that noticing be enough.
