Your TLTO 2024 In Review
Hi Bestie!!
All year I planned a post rounding up the best things I bought, read, and ate, but I spent most of December with walking pneumonia so we're not doing that. (I'll spend most of January with it, too! I'll toast to the new year in February!)
I have the free plan with Buttondown, so I don't know which posts did the best this year. I don't think I should have that information. I don't think I should know the open rate for ten people. I'm glad we're all here, though, because I think my funeral will be poorly attended. ("We'll go to the next one!")
Coasting on vibes, here are my favorite issues of the year:
We're Off to the Hot Dog Races, December 19
This took months to put together, and now I find myself with more questions than before (who is in Ellie's costume and what are they like off the clock?) plus the singular goal to get in the hot dog costume at Camden Yards myself. The Brief History of Ketchup, October 5
The most confident and chill I've ever been is when I let a middle-aged man give the wrong answer at trivia.Polar Swimming 🧊, March 30
Ya girl is a Coney Island Polar Bear. If you want to join in a guest swim this season, let me know! You only get one this season and I'd be happy to have you.An Unreasonable Fantasy Part II, February 17
Never stop dreaming about sourdough pancakes and jam in a snow-covered cabin in Alaska, the success of which could never have been possible without the aid of friends, family, and neighbors.
You can see past issues in the Too Loud & Too Old archive.
Always your friend,
Katherine
