Happy Autumn! The leaves are almost all on the ground here in Maryland and everyone is starting to shift into high gear to plan for upcoming holidays.

I’m so pleased to share that a new fantasy short story of mine is now available in issue 3 of Plott Hound Magazine. This new magazine only includes stories that “dig deep into what it’s like to be an animal yet also teach us what it means to be human”. My story, “A Mountain Retirement”, features a dragon!

If you want to buy your own electronic copy, make sure you look for issue 3 with the cover shown below. The single issue price is $5, while $20 will get you a year’s subscription for 4 seasonal issues.

In other good news, one of my photos was selected for inclusion in an art show at the Falls Church Arts Gallery in Falls Church, Virginia, from January 10 through February 22, 2026.

This show is part of the multi-venue Women Artists of the DMV show that, with the addition of this venue, is displayed in 19 locations throughout the DC metro area. I’m so pleased one of my photos will be on display.

As a treat for you being on my mailing list, here is a new photo of mine that I have not posted anywhere yet. These scattered petals stopped me in my tracks until I had captured them.

As a reminder, there are many things featuring my photos for sale over on RedBubble (with many items up to 60% off for their Black Friday sale). Lots of great gift options if you are on the hunt. If you want to order prints from me directly, check out the details at the bottom of the photography page on my website.

Wishing you an enjoyable holiday season full of revelry or lots of naps (or a balance of both!), per your preferences.

Thank you for your continued interest in my creative ventures!

Jeanne
