Yesterday afternoon felt like mid-September, and I got excited—both for what is objectively the best season of the year and the back-to-school routine. Though this year will be anything but routine: our younger kid can now be dismissed into the care of our older one and we just … don’t have to do school pickup? What bizarro world is this? Maybe we began offering free school pickups for Hot Pizza’s after-school courses to help us with this transition. 🙃🫠
Before all that, join us at Concerts on Connolly in Wadsworth Park! This Sunday, August 30, we’ll be drawing silly prompts together as the bands perform at this fun community gathering! Come get creative, ask us about upcoming courses, or challenge me to invent more prompts than my poor brain can handle. Details in this Instagram post.

Has your kid enjoyed a program at Hot Pizza? Do you think it’d be fun for their class to take a field trip to the studio? We’ve been a TDSB-certified vendor for more than a year, meaning we can host classes of all ages.
If you’re a teacher reading this and curious to learn more, join our free Educator Open House on Saturday, September 12! This hands-on session will offer a playful introduction to what a school visit can look like at our studio: warm-up drawing games, creative stations, sample projects, and examples of how workshops can be tailored.

📚✂️ Fall equinox collage night
Our seasonal collage night has returned! Join us to welcome the autumn with intention. It’s an opportunity for vision boarding, listening to your creative intuition, and contemplating the cozy season—all in the company of like-minded people who want a little more creativity in their lives. You may just make something you didn’t know you had in you.
We’ll provide everything you need, but feel free to bring additional magazines, books, or any papers that you’d like to use.
