I saw this shitshow live. It might serve as an amazing time capsule of SNL's seventies hubris when watched today. To my sober, mid-teen eyes that evening, it was confounding and frustrating. To borrow from Nathan's first "MYOF" installment, Rabin himself quoting Cameron Crowe's script:
"Any fool can accomplish failure. But a fiasco, a fiasco is a disaster of mythic proportions. A fiasco is a folktale told to others, that makes other people feel more... alive. Because it didn't happen to them"
