The Ever-Shifting Lexicon

ESL writers, writers who moved to another country or were raised multilingual, translators-and-writers, and many others who make use of more than one language - we are sponges for words and expressions from different backgrounds. We navigate our way between languages, audiences, and sometimes vastly different publishing industries. We are often betwixt and between, sticking out and invisible at the same time.

To explore this range of experiences, writer and translator Simone Heller talks to speculative fiction writers with multilingual backgrounds about their ways of juggling words and worlds.
