It’s okay if you can’t do everything on the plan. Pick 1 action every day or 3-5 actions for the week and commit yourself to doing them. Whatever your commitment, as President Obama said in his farewell speech: Believe in your ability to bring change. Show up, dive in, stay at it.

Contact Senator Feinstein & Harris and ask them to vote no against S.951 (Regulatory Accountability Act of 2017 (RAA)), which requires any new new regulations and guidance documents issued by federal agencies to among other things place more consideration, for example, on how much a regulation would cost to be implemented for an industry than say public health & safety. -
Contact Rep. Hunter and hold him accountable for voting yes on H.R.1628 (American Health Care Act of 2017). 20 days after the House passed AHCA, the CBO released their report on AHCA: deficit would be reduced by $119 billions, but 23 millions people would still lose their healthcare by 2026 compared to previous $150 billions and 24 millions estimates. In our 50th district, 46,000 people will likely lose their healthcare compared to previous 45,900 estimates. See The most devastating paragraph in the CBO report, Republican Health Overhaul Would Leave Millions More Uninsured and Compare Proposals to Replace The Affordable Care Act.
-
Contact Senator Feinstein & Harris and let them know about your opposition to AHCA. Tell them that you want an open, transparent and public process for any healthcare bills coming from the Senate. See It’s Time to Worry about Health Care in the Senate, Questions for 13 Men Writing Trumpcare in Secret and Resistance Manual's Healthcare.
Thursday
-
Contact Senator Anderson and ask him to vote yes in support of SB-149, which requires presidential candidates to release their last 5 tax returns to be listed on CA election ballot. The bill passed the Senate Committee on Appropriations and was ordered a third reading. Senator Anderson previously voted no on the bill twice in committees. Note SB-562 (Californians For A Healthy California Act), which “explore[s] the establishment of a single-payer health care system in California, and SB-49, SB-50 and SB-51, which preserve California’s environmental protections, similarly passed the Senate Committee on Appropriations and was ordered a third reading.
-
Share & support Duncan Hunter Accountability Billboard which would fund a billboard at Hwy 67 and Bradley.
-
Contact Rep. Hunter and ask him when is his next town hall. At his last town hall on March 11, 2017, Rep. Hunter promised more town halls, but there have been 3 district work periods since and no news about a town hall. More than 350 constituents have sign a petition for him to hold another town hall. If he is not going to host a town hall for this district work period from May 30 to June 5, 2017, how is meeting his constituents face-to-face?
-
Contact Senator Feinstein & Harris and ask them to demand WH senior adviser Jared Kushner to resign. As a private citizen, Kushner attempted to setup a one-way, backchannel communication with Russian officials. On his security clearance form, he failed to disclose meetings with Russian officials, and then on his revised security clearance form, he failed to disclose further meetings with Russian officials. See The dueling scoops about Jared Kushner’s plan for secret communications with Russia, explained and Exclusive: Trump son-in-law had undisclosed contacts with Russian envoy.

-
Contact Rep. Hunter and let him know that you’re not happy with his comments on Representative-elect Gianforte’s misdemeanor assault of journalist Jacobs for asking about the AHCA: "It’s not appropriate behavior. Unless the reporter deserved it." Note that Jacobs previously reported on Gianforte’s ties to US-sanctioned Russian companies, and the misdemeanor assault comes in the wakes of recent attacks on the press by the Trump administration and many Republican public figures.
-
Contact the Federal Communications Commission and let them know that you’re concerned about Sinclair Broadcast Group’s agreement to purchase Tribune Media. See Tell the Federal Communications Commission: Block the Sinclair deal. Note that Montana NBC Affiliate Refused to Cover Gianforte ‘Body Slam’ when the news initially broke.
