In the 2021 Escondido Climate Action Plan, a requirement for implementation of the plan was creation of a multi-stakeholder climate commission.

The city’s own Community Advisory Group for Climate and Environmental Action supported this action.

At the December 10th, 2025 meeting at 5 pm at City Hall this Wednesday, (Item 11, page 145) Escondido Neighbors for Solutions is resurrecting that commitment and requesting that the Council add creation of a climate commission to item #11 of the agenda. Read letter.
