- Thursday, September 12, 2019, 2:00 PM–4:00 PM: Escondido Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting at City Hall Council Chambers, 201 North Broadway, Escondido, CA 92025. Agenda not available yet. ***Agenda includes discussions of the possibility of building a new library (item #3). Future Events
- Friday, September 20, 2019: Global Climate Walkout. Millions of youth across 150 countries have been leading #FridaysforFuture school walkouts and strikes to demand a sustainable, livable future for their generation. Now, youth are calling on the rest of us to join them by standing together in a worldwide climate strike.
Defund Hate Week of Action
- Attend Border to Border with Love to Defund Hate Rally at Waterfront Park, 1600 Pacific Hwy, San Diego, CA 92101 on Friday, September 13, 6:00 PM.

- Contact Rep. Hunter, Senator Feinstein and Senator Harris and express concerns about the relocation of $271 millions in emergency funds from FEMA to ICE and $3.6 billions from 127 Defense Department projects to border wall construction, including a $8 million flight simulator project for disaster response at the Channel Islands Air National Guard Station in California. Ask them to cut funding for ICE and CBP in the upcoming Department of Homeland Security appropriations bill.
