Wednesday, September 20, 2017, 4:30 PM: Escondido City Council Meeting at City Hall Council Chambers, 201 North Broadway, Escondido, CA 92025. ***The Council will be considering exposure to litigation over the library outsourcing in closed session. Community members are allowed to testify prior to the Council going into closed session. If you want to attend, urge the Council to stop negotiating with LS&S, evaluate alternatives, and develop a real plan to address any financial concerns. Read Times Advocate article.***

Contact Rep. Hunter and ask him to co-sponsor H.R.3591 (or the American Hope Act) which would provide DREAMers in Rep. Hunter’s district a path to citizenship. See California, Tell Your Members of Congress to Defend DACA.

Contact Senator Feinstein & Harris and ask them to pass a clean DREAM Act (S.1615) which protects DREAMers from deportation. No amendments to fund a border wall or increase deportations. Contact Governor Brown and ask him to sign SB-54, which limits instances in which state and local resources are used for immigration enforcement without a judicial warrant, into law. Contact Senator Feinstein & Harris and ask them to co-sponsor S.1820 which protects transgender service members.
