Welcome to Escondido Indivisible’s weekly ACTION plan for October 15, 2018! It’s less than 23 days from the Primary Election.
- If you’re a registered vote-by-mail voter, ballots have been mailed so check your mails!
- If you’re a regular registered voter, early voting has begun: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM at the County Registrar of Voters office, 5600 Overland Ave, San Diego, CA 92123.
- If you’re not registered to vote, you can register at registertovote.ca.gov. The deadline is October 22, 2018.

- Tuesday, October 16, 4:30-5:30 PM: Sign-waving for Alan Geraci candidate for State Assembly and LIbrary Champion. Meet at the corner of West Valley Parkway and Auto Parkway (By BEVMO) Come show your support for a new champion for our District in the Assembly.
- Tuesday, October 16, 2018, 7:00-8:30 PM: Sierra Club Public Fall General Meeting: Proposed Backcountry Developments are Wrong for San Diego at at City Hall, Mitchell Room, 201 North Broadway, Escondido CA 92025.
- Thursday, October 18, 11:30 AM-1:00 PM: Sign Wave for Paul ‘Mac’ McNamara for Escondido Mayor. Meet at Plaza Las Palmas at Petco Shopping Mall on West Valley Parkway.

- Sunday, October 21, 2018, 11:00 AM-2:00 PM: Escondido Canvassing Sundays Knock & Talk with CA50 Voters! at Starbucks, 121 West Lincoln Avenue, Escondido, CA 92026.

- Write a letter to the editor about supporting Paul “Mac” McNamara or opposing Sam Abed for Escondido Mayor.
Wednesday
- Read-up on Trump immigration officials consider separating families again, AP Investigation: Deported parents may lose kids to adoption, Migrant Children in Search of Justice: A 2-Year-Old’s Day in Immigration Court and The Five-Year-Old Who Was Detained at the Border and Persuaded to Sign Away Her Rights.
- Comment on Immigration and Customs Enforcement Bureau’s proposed rule to overturn the Flores settlement and detain migrant children and their families indefinitely. Public comments end November 6, 2018.
Thursday
- Comment on U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ proposed rule to retroactively prohibit citizenship for green card holders who had ever used SNAP food stamps, Medicaid, or a whole array of other social services. Public comments end December 10, 2018. See Trump administration to restrict green cards for those likely to receive public assistance.
Friday
