Election 2022
  • Share Indivisible California’s Help us win GA! on how to help Georgia Senate Runoffs which will be held on December 6, 2022. See Georgia is still important, even after Democrats retained control of the Senate.
  • Read-up on California election results: Who won in 2022, North County Election Roundup: Where the Races Stand Now and our write-up of some federal, state, county and municipal races affecting Escondido.
LGBTQ+ Rights
  • Read-up on Club Q shooting follows year of bomb threats, drag protests, anti-trans bills and Hillcrest community on edge after LGBTQ shooting, but standing up to hate.
  • Contact Representative Issa, Representative Peters, Senator Feinstein and Senator Padilla and ask them to pass legislation like the the Equality Act (H.R.5/S.393) to protect against discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity. Rep. Issa had previously voted no on H.R.5. See Support LGBTQ+ Rights with the Equality Act of 2021.

Housing & Homelessness
  • Read-up on Youth march in San Diego to call attention to homelessness, Protesters occupy county building as tenants reel from COVID rent relief program’s end and Interfaith to expand recuperative care and family shelter for homeless in Escondido.
  • Contact the Escondido City Council and ask them to address the immediate needs of the community by, for example, applying for the County’s $10 million grant program to create a Safe Parking Program similar to Encinitas and a Homeless Outreach and Mobile Engagement similar to La Mesa.
