EscInd: Weekly Action Plan for November 26, 2018
Welcome to Escondido Indivisible’s weekly action plan for November 26, 2018! San Diego County Registrar of Voters last reported that there are ~72,000 outstanding ballots left to be processed and it might not be until Dec. 6, 2018 before election results are finalized, but:
- Candidate Paul "Mac" McNamara is still maintaining his lead in the Escondido mayoral race with 1,325 more votes (3.32% point lead)
- 40,099 total votes were counted so far in the mayoral race which is ~9,031 more votes than in 2010 (with 31,068 votes) when turnout in Escondido was ~63%
- Challenger Ammar Campa-Najjar is now only trailing by 3.6% point (9,046 votes) in CA-D50 congressional race
BTW, if you voted, especially vote-by-mail or provisional, you can check whether your ballot was accepted at https://voterstatus.sos.ca.gov.

- Comment on U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ proposed rule to retroactively prohibit citizenship for green card holders who had ever used SNAP food stamps, Medicaid, or a whole array of other social services. Public comments end December 10, 2018.
