- Complete the Escondido Public Library Strategic Plan Survey 2021.
San Diego County Redistricting
- Explore SDC Redistricting Draft Map #5, Draft Map #6, Draft Map #7 and Draft Map #8.
- Comment on the SDC Redistricting Draft Maps in support of Draft Map #6 to unit Escondido with San Marcos, Vista, Oceanside and Carlsbad along the freeway 78. See Public Comment and Communities of Interest (COI).
- Read-up on California redistricting: Local commissions draw new lines, How should North County fit in new San Diego County supervisor district boundaries? and VC, Escondido residents object to redistricting commission lumping them in with bigger cities. Note that Escondido’s 2020 Census Population is 151,038 while Oceanside’s 174,068, Vista’s 98,381, San Marcos 94,833, Valley Center 10,087, Fallbrook 32,267, and Temecula 110,003.
California Redistricting
- Explore California Redistricting Visualizations. Note that Escondido is currently visualized as U.S. Congressional District VCD_SMESCPOW_1027 and State Assembly District VAD_VISSMESC_1027 with San Marcos, part of Vista, Hidden Meadows and Valley Center while for State Senate District VSD_SDCITY_1027, Escondido is with only Hidden Meadows and Valley Center.
