Local COVID-19 Response
  • Read-up on Latest Coronavirus Death Toll Shows A Surge In South San Diego County and Widespread COVID-19 Testing Still Elusive in Senior Homes, 
  • Read-up on Scripps, Sharp HealthCare Voice Concerns Over County Reopening Plan, San Diego Wants State Officials To Allow Speedier Reopening and Many California Counties Get State OK For Faster Reopening.
  • Contact Supervisor Gaspar and Board of Supervisors and express hope that San Diego County will continue to closely monitor COVID-19 cases and trends, especially as SDC has entered its accelerated stage 2nd re-opening phase, and that SDC will also continue to expand its testing and tracing capacity.
  • Note that in 7 days from May 17th to May 24th, San Diego County had 865 new positive cases, 128 new hospitalization cases, 37 new intensive care cases and 40 new death cases. We’ve reached 249 total death cases or 7.5 per 100k (up 1.2), and 6,701 total positive cases or 202.9 per 100k (up 26.2).
