Events
- Tuesday, May 24, 2022, 9:00 AM: San Diego County Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting at Board Of Supervisors North Chamber Room 310, 1600 Pacific Highway, Room 402, San Diego, CA 92101. Agenda includes Item #18 on Continuance Of Teleconferenced Public Meetings. Live broadcast of the meeting will be at sandiegocounty.gov here. - Wednesday, May 25, 2022, 5:00 PM: Escondido City Council Meeting at City Hall Council Chambers, 201 North Broadway, Escondido, CA 92025. Agenda includes Item #13 on term limits and Item #14 on whether the treasurer’s position should be elected. Live broadcast of the meeting will be at escondido.org here. Public comments may be made via Public Comment Form.
Voting Plan
- Read-up on CalMatters' California Election 2022 Voter Guide, San Diego Primary Election Guide, KPBS & Voter Edge Voter Hub, and San Diego Election Information, including Your Sample Ballot. California Primary Election will be on June 7, 2022.
- Check your voting registration status and updated district information, and register to vote if you’re eligible and not registered.
- Plan to vote. Mail ballots have been mailed to all voters and can be dropped off at any postal offices or Ballot Drop Box Locations starting May 9th to June 7th (closed May 30th), including Escondido Public Library, Major Market at Center Parkway, Oakmont of Escondido Hills, Champagne Village, and Rincon del Diablo Municipal Water District. Check your voting registration or Where’s My Ballot to track your ballot.
- For in-person voting, the following Vote Center Locations will be open from May 28 to June 6, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Election Day, June 7, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. In Escondido: Westfield North County Community Room from May 28 to June 6 and Central Elementary School Family Resource Room, Girl Scouts Escondido Center, and Park Avenue Community Center Oak Room from June 4 to June 7.

- Contact Senator Feinstein and Senator Padilla and ask them to pass legislations supporting abortion access such as H.R.3755. Note that Representative Issa voted no on H.R.3755 but H.R.3755 passed the House and blocked in the Senate.See Demand Congress Support Abortion Access Legislation - Keep Calling.

- Contact Senator Feinstein and Senator Padilla and ask them to pass legislation addressing gun violence like H.R.8/S.529 and H.R.1446 to expand background checks for gun purchases and S. 736/H.R. 1108 to reinstate the ban on assault weapons. Senators Feinstein and Padilla are co-sponsors of S.529, and Senator Feinstein of S. 736. Note that Representative Issa voted no on H.R.8 & HR.1446 but both bills passed the House.
