SANDAG is planning a new Rapid bus route connecting Eastern Escondido, Escondido Transit Center, and Palomar Medical Center Escondido and asking for feedback at Next Gen Rapid Route 471 Survey and Encuesta de la Próxima Generación De Los Buses Rapid 471.

Escondido Budget
- Read-up on The Escondido Discussion 2023 Slides (See The Escondido Discussion 2022 Replay).
- Contact the Escondido City Council and call for more funding to community-based programs and services. For example, creating a Safe Parking Program similar to Encinitas and Vista and a Homeless Outreach and Mobile Engagement similar to La Mesa to address immediate needs of our community.

Federal Budget

Judiciary Reforms
- Read-up on Clarence Thomas Reversed Position After Gifts And Family Payments.
- Contact Representative Issa, Representative Peters, Senator Feinstein and Senator Padilla and ask them to pass legislation to adopt a code of conduct for the Supreme Court such as S.325/H.R.927. See Senate Democrats push for Supreme Court ethics code for justices and Outside groups take a first stab at a Supreme Court ethics code.
Gun Control
- Read-up on “My Daughter’s Murder Wasn’t Enough”: A Uvalde Mother Fights Back.
- Contact Representative Issa, Representative Peters, Senator Feinstein and Senator Padilla and ask them to pass more comprehensive legislation addressing gun violence such as S.25 which will ban assault weapons and S.14 which will raise the age to be able to buy a gun from 18 to 21. Senator Feinstein and Senator Padilla are co-sponsors of S.25 & S.14. Note that Representative Issa previously voted no on the Gun Safety Bill (S.2938) along with other gun safety legislation.
