Police Use of Force
  • Read-up on Supervisors Vote To Formally Oppose Lethal Force Bill.
  • Contact Contact Supervisor Gaspar and express disappointment in her vote to oppose AB-392 which “changes the police use of force standard from “objectively reasonable” to “absolutely necessary””. The Board Of Supervisors voted 3-2 on April 30 to oppose ABB-392.  See Indivisible CA: StateStrong script for CA AB392 2019.
  • Contact Assemblymember Waldron and State Senator Jones and ask them to support AB-392 which “requires [police officers] to use tactics to de-escalate a situation or use alternatives to deadly force when reasonable”. See Indivisible CA: StateStrong script for CA AB392 2019.
Fighting White Extremism
  • Read-up on In LA, Authorities Thwarted An Attack; In Poway, They Failed To See One Coming and San Diego has a long history with white supremacists.
  • Contact Rep. Hunter, Senator Feinstein and Senator Harris and ask them to take legislative actions combating white extremism and hate crimes in United States. As them to support H.R.1931 and S.894 which “require[s] DHS, the FBI and the Justice Department to address right-wing violent extremism and require training and reporting on countering domestic terrorists”. Note: Senator Harris is a co-sponsor of S.89.
Trump-Russia Investigation
  • Read-up on Trump asserts executive privilege over Mueller report; House panel holds Barr in contempt, Contempt of Congress: what it means for AG William Barr and Congress Subpoena Fight With Trump Administration: What You Need To Know.
