Climate Change
- Read-up on County Board Of Supervisors Votes To Explore Getting Into The Energy Business.
- Contact Supervisor Gaspar and thank her for supporting Community Choice Energy (CCE) in San Diego County. Ask for her continued support of CCE. She voted yes to a feasibility study on CCE by October.
- Contact Rep. Hunter, Senator Feinstein and Senator Harris and reiterate your support of the Green New Deal, H.Res.109 and S.Res.59. Note: Senator Harris is a co-sponsor of S.Res.59. See Support the Green New Deal Resolution.
Voting Rights & Government Reform
- Contact Assemblymember Waldron and State Senator Jones and ask them to support ACA-6 which will “ask California voters to restore the right to vote to people on parole in the 2020 ballot.” See Free the Vote for Californians on Parole (ACA 6) and Free the Vote Act (ACA 6 & AB 646)
- Contact Rep. Hunter and ask him to support H.R. 1 seeking to pass “campaign finance reform, strengthening the government’s ethics laws, and expanding voting rights”. See H.R. 1: Strengthening Our Democracy and 4 Key Elements of HR1.

Immigration
- Read-up on House Votes To Block Trump's National Emergency Declaration and Senate Democrats have enough Republican support to terminate Trump’s national emergency.
- Contact Rep. Hunter and express disappointments in his voting no on H.J.Res.46, a resolution of disapproval which terminates President Trump’s declaration of a national emergency for border wall funding, H.J.Res.46 passed the House of Representatives by 245 - 182 votes and now moves to the Senate. - Contact Senator Feinstein and Senator Harris and ask them to support H.J.Res.46, a resolution of disapproval which terminates President Trump’s declaration of a national emergency for border wall funding.
Gun Control
- Read-up on Gun Control Legislation: House Passes Sweeping Bill and Pelosi Passes Second Gun Control Bill and Puts Down Democratic Rebellion.
- Contact Rep. Hunter and express disappointments in his voting no on H.R.8 which “require[s] a background check for every firearm sale” including online and private sales. H.R.8 passed the House of Representatives by 240 - 190 votes and now moves to the Senate. See Support Expanded Background Checks for Gun Purchases.
- Contact Senator Feinstein and Senator Harris and express your support of gun control legislations, H.R.8 and S.42 which “require a background check for every firearm sale” including online and private sales.
