  • Wednesday, March 27, 2019, 2:00 PM: Escondido Public Library Board of Trustees Applicant Interviews at City Hall Council Chambers, 201 North Broadway, Escondido, CA 92025. **Agenda includes “[d]iscussion among Council, current Board members, and applicants regarding expectations and responsibilities and duties associated with membership on the Library Board of Trustees, and the role of the Library Board of Trustees in City Government.”**

Climate Change
  • Read-up on The Green New Deal, explained.
  • Contact Rep. Hunter, Senator Feinstein and Senator Harris and reiterate your support of the Green New Deal, H.Res.109 and S.Res.59. Note: Senator Harris is a co-sponsor of S.Res.59. See Support the Green New Deal Resolution.

Trump-Russia Investigation
  • Read-up on Trump investigations: beyond Mueller, the president faces other legal jeopardy and Mueller indictments: everyone charged in the Russia investigation.
  • Contact Rep. Hunter, Senator Feinstein and Senator Harris and ask them for the public disclosure of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report. See Investigating Trump and Holding Him Accountable.
Immigration
  • Contact Rep. Hunter and ask him to support H.R.6 which “provide a path to citizenship for Dreamers, and legal permanent residency to Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) recipients”. See Fight All Forms of Family Separations.
  • Contact Senator Feinstein and Senator Harris and express support for S.662 which provide access for legal counsel of unaccompanied migrant children. Both Senator Feinstein and Harris are co-sponsors of S.662.

Voting Rights
  • Contact Assemblymember Waldron and State Senator Jones and ask them to support ACA-6 which will “ask California voters to restore the right to vote to people on parole in the 2020 ballot.” See Free the Vote for Californians on Parole (ACA 6) and Free the Vote Act (ACA 6 & AB 646).
