- Tuesday, March 23, 2021, 6:00 PM: Oversight That Affects Us All: San Diego County Citizens’ Law Enforcement Review Board Town Hall (CLERB) Town Hall hosted by the Racial Justice Coalition of San Diego, North County Equity & Justice Coalition and NCSD NAACP among others. CLERB is the Citizens' Independent Oversight Board Committee for San Diego County Law Enforcement. RSVP via Zoom.
- Wednesday, March 24, 2021, 5:00 PM (Note the Time Change): Escondido City Council Meeting via teleconference. Agenda includes Item #8 on the adoption of campaign finance control repeal, Item #12 on public comments practices and Item #13 on the Library Board of Trustee appointment. Live broadcast of the meeting will be at escondido.org here. Public comments may be made via Public Comment Form.
Escondido Campaign Finance Controls

- Contact the Escondido City Council and oppose the adoption at this upcoming City Council meeting on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 of an ordinance repeal that will now (1) allow candidates to carryover leftover campaign funds to a new campaign account, and (2) exempt political parties from the City's campaign laws.

Voting Reforms

- Contact Senator Feinstein and Senator Padilla and ask them to support H.R.1/S.1 to strengthen our democracy. Note that Representative Issa voted no on H.R.1, but the House passed the bill with a 220-210 vote. - Contact Assemblymember Waldron and State Senator Jones and ask them to support AB-37 to extend vote by mail to all elections in California.
