Actions | Contact Info for Elected Officials | Tips for Communicating with Public Officials Voting Rights Read-up on Thousands of Texans had mail ballots rejected in March 1 primary. Contact Representative Issa, Senator Feinstein and Senator Padilla and urge them to pass legislation to restore and strengthen the Voting Rights Act of 1965 such as the amended H.R.5314, H.R.4/S.4, H.R.1/S.1 and S.2747. Note that Representative Issa voted no on H.R.5314, H.R.1 & H.R.4 which passed the House but was blocked in the Senate. See Support Democracy Reform with Voting Rights Protections. COVID-19 & Recovery Read-up on The White House is running out of money for its COVID response and The COVID Funding Collapse Is a Disaster. Contact Senator Feinstein and Senator Padilla and ask them to support S.3726 which funds research on long COVID-19. Ask for more funding to test, vaccinate and treat COVID-19. See Va. Sen. Escondido Budget Complete Escondido City’s survey on “local community priorities and City service needs” for the budget as the city is facing “an $8 million budget gap” and call for more funding to community-based programs and services.
