Tuesday
- Contact Assemblymember Waldron and ask her to support SB-974 which “extends Medi-Cal to all those eligible regardless of immigration status”. The bill will be up for at hearing at the Assembly Health Committee (of which Assemblymember Waldron is a member) on June 19, 2018. See Upcoming Hearings: Week of 6/18 and beyond.
- Contact State Senator Anderson and ask him to support AB-3 which “raises age to 21 for buying a gun and prohibits anyone from buying more than one gun per month”. The bill will be up for a hearing at Senate Public Safety Committee (of which Senator Anderson is vice chair) postponed to June 19, 2018.
Wednesday
- Read-up on Trump’s border agents are stopping asylum-seekers from setting foot in the US, USD Expert: Sessions' Policy Change Leaves Asylum-Seekers Few Options and US launches bid to find citizenship cheaters.
- Contact Rep. Hunter and ask him to vote no on legislations such as H.R.4760 and Rep. Paul Ryan’s immigration bill which restricts legal immigration and/or allows immigrant children to be detained indefinitely. See Republican's Latest Immigration Debacle and Immigration bill: the House GOP says their new bill bans separating families at the border. That’s a lie.
Thursday

- Contact Rep. Hunter and ask him to support legislations such H.R.5950 (HELP Separated Children Act), S.2468 (Fair Day in Court for Kids Act of 2018) and S.3036 (Keep Families Together Act) to “strengthen protections for immigrant families while they are in ICE custody”.
