Climate and Transportation

- Attend SANDAG Board of Directors Meeting on Five Big Moves at San Diego Association of Governments, Board Room, 7th Floor, 401 B St #800, San Diego, CA 92101 on Friday, July 12, 2019: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
- Contact SANDAG and Escondido Mayor Paul McNamara and urge support for moving forward with the Five Big Moves, to stay the course, and support staff in their effort to design a regional transportation system that addresses the climate crisis and meets the needs of families across the region.
Hunter Campaign Fund Misuse Trial
- Read-up on Judge: Rep. Duncan Hunter's Trial Can Detail Alleged Affairs and Judge: Rep. Duncan Hunter's personal relationships can be evidence in criminal trial.
- Contact Rep. Hunter and ask for his resignation for his indictment of conspiracy to commit offenses against the United States, wire fraud, falsification of records and prohibited use of (~$250,000) campaign contributions.
Immigration
- Read-up on Border Patrol's Oversight of Sick Migrant Children, DHS Watchdog Describes Crammed Detention Centers, A Ticking Time Bomb, AOC and other Democrats visit El Paso, Clint border facilities in Texas and How lack of soap and toothpaste affects migrants in border detention centers.
- Contact Rep. Hunter, Senator Feinstein and Senator Harris and express concerns about continuing reports of inhumane treatment and separation of asylum-seeking families. Express your support for H.R.1069 (which prohibits unlicensed temporary emergency shelters for unaccompanied migrant children), S.388 (which improves resettlement process for unaccompanied migrant children), and the end of mass detention of immigrants. Trump Impeachment
