The General Election will be Tuesday, November 8, 2022 and will include 7 ballot measures along with Escondido Municipal Election for Mayor, City Council Seat #1 and #2. Check your voter registration and register to vote if you’re eligible and not registered.

- Tuesday, July 19, 2022, 6:00 - 7:30 PM: Homelessness Community Advisory Group Meeting (featuring “a panel of three brave women who have experienced homelessness in North County”) at City Hall, Mitchell Room, 201 North Broadway, Escondido, CA 92025. See Homelessness CAG.
- Wednesday, July 20, 2022, 5:00 PM: Escondido City Council Meeting at City Hall Council Chambers, 201 North Broadway, Escondido, CA 92025. No Current Business or Public Hearing on the Agenda. Live broadcast of the meeting will be at escondido.org here. Public comments may be made via Public Comment Form.

Reproductive Rights & Judiciary Reforms
- Share National Network of Abortion Funds.
- Read-up on The Last Days of The Pink House, Abortion bans create confusion around miscarriage, ectopic pregnancies, Post-Roe, autoimmune patients lose access to a crucial drug and Abortion laws spark profound changes in other medical care.
- Contact Senator Feinstein and Senator Padilla and ask them to pass legislation supporting abortion access such as H.R.3755/H.R.8296/S.4132. Note that Representative Issa voted no on H.R.3755/8296 (and praised the overturn of Roe vs. Wade) but H.R.3755/8296 passed the House and was blocked in the Senate. See Codify Abortion Rights.
- Contact Representative Issa, Senator Feinstein and Senator Padilla and urge them to pass H.R. 2584 & S. 1141 to expand the Supreme Court. See Demand the Senate Pass the Markey Court Expansion Bill to Save Abortion Rights.

Gun Violence

- Contact Representative Issa, Senator Feinstein and Senator Padilla and ask them to pass more comprehensive legislation addressing gun violence like “a ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, raising the age to be able to buy a gun from 18 to 21, universal background checks”. Note that Representative Issa voted no on the Gun Safety Bill (S.2938) along with other gun safety legislation like H.R.8, H.R.1446, H.R.7910, & H.R.2377. Election & Voting Rights

- Contact Representative Issa, Senator Feinstein and Senator Padilla and urge them to pass legislation to restore and strengthen the Voting Rights Act of 1965 such as the amended H.R.5314, H.R.4/S.4, H.R.1/S.1 and S.2747. Note that Representative Issa voted no on H.R.5314, H.R.1 & H.R.4 which passed the House but was blocked in the Senate.
