- Comment on Escondido Redistricting Preliminary Draft Map (Demographics) which was previously Map Visualization 2C. The Commission voted to proceed with Map Visualization 2C as their 1st draft map. Previous map visualizations include January 10th, January 13th, Map Visualization 1, Map Visualization 1A, Map Visualization 1B, Map Visualization 2, Map Visualization 2A, Map Visualization 2B, and Map Visualization 2C. COVID-19 & Recovery
- Read-up on The expanded child tax credit briefly slashed child poverty, California likely to extend paid sick leave amid pandemic and ‘Just wear a mask and don’t tell anyone’: Workplaces are filling up with sick employees.
- Contact Assemblymember Waldron and ask her to reinstate legislation to provide two weeks COVID-19 paid sick leave and pause evictions due to rising COVID-19 cases
- Contact Senator Feinstein and Senator Padilla and ask them to pass an inclusive recovery package under H.R.5376. Note that Representative Issa voted No on expanding child tax credits and universal preschool for children ages 3 and 4 among other “safety-net” expansions. Universal Healthcare
- Read-up on California single-payer healthcare plan passes first hurdle.
- Contact Assemblymember Waldron and ask her to vote yes on AB-1400 for universal healthcare. Note that Assemblymember Waldron voted no on AB-1400 during an Assembly Health Committee Vote. See CalCare Assembly Floor Vote Toolkit.
