- Read-up on American Democracy Is Only 55 Years Old—And Hanging by a Thread.

U.S. Postal Service
- Read-up on DeJoy plans more slowdowns for USPS, higher prices for first-class mail, sources say.
- Contact Representative Issa, Senator Feinstein and Senator Padilla and ask them to support H.R.695 & S.145 to repeal the USPS pre-fund retirement mandate which is causing an undue burden on the department. Senator Feinstein is currently co-sponsor of S.145. See Keep the Postal Service Solvent with the USPS Fairness Act.
Trump Attempted Coup
- Read-up on Previously unpublished video shows Pence, Romney, Schumer and others rushing to evacuate the Capitol, New details about Trump-McCarthy shouting match show Trump refused to call off the rioters and A year of election misinformation from Trump, visualized.
- Contact Senator Feinstein and Senator Padilla and thank them for voting to convict Trump for inciting a violent attempted coup at the Capitol. The Senate voted 57 to 43 to convict Trump, but failed to meet the 67 votes threshold for a conviction.
COVID-19 Response
- Read-up on Promotoras Bring Vaccination Message To San Diego's Latino Communities and Looming Wave of Evictions in San Diego County Due to Pandemic Pause.
- Contact the Escondido City Council and express concerns about the spread of COVID-19 in Escondido (we’re at 48.8 case rate and 14,357 total cases as of Jan. 30th). Express concerns about businesses who are not complying with public health orders. Ask for more public health education and awareness of COVID-19 risks.
- Contact Supervisor Lawson-Remer and express concerns about the lifting of regional stay-at-home order. Tell her that you’re concerned about still widespread community spread of COVID-19 & variant strains (we’re up at 34.2 case rate, 64 community outbreaks, and ICU capacity at 21%).
- Contact Representative Issa, Senator Feinstein, Senator Padilla and urge them to pass additional COVID-19 relief and $2,000 in direct stimulus payments. See Demand your Representatives build on Biden’s Rescue Plan to pass bold relief & Support the Biden-Harris Coronavirus Rescue Plan.
