- Thursday, December 9, 2021, 2:00 PM: Escondido Library Board of Trustees Meeting at City Hall Council Chambers, 201 North Broadway, Escondido, CA 92025. - Thursday, December 9, 2021, 5:30 PM: San Diego County Independent Redistricting Commission Selects Draft Map for Adoption via Zoom or In-Person at San Diego County Administration Center, 1600 Pacific Hwy, San Diego, CA 92101. Agenda and draft map not yet posted but from December 2nd-3rd meetings, the IRC moved forward with Map 13A with adjustments resulting in a possible Map 13A v11. Public comments may be made via Independent Redistricting Commission eComment and other methods.
- Friday, December 10, 2021, 8:30 AM: San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) Board of Directors Meeting on 2021 Regional Plan (including Regional Transportation Plan and the Sustainable Communities Strategy) via Zoom. Community Feedback may be made via Community Feedback 2021 SANDAG Regional Transportation Plan.

- Tuesday, December 15, 2021, 2:00 PM: San Diego County Independent Redistricting Commission Approval Report via Zoom or In-Person at San Diego County Operations Center, 5520 Overland Ave, San Diego, CA 92123. Public comments may be made via Independent Redistricting Commission eComment and other methods.
San Diego County Redistricting
- Comment on the SDC Redistricting Draft Map to unite Escondido at least with San Marcos, Vista, and Oceanside along the freeway 78. The draft map up for final consideration has not yet been posted, but from December 2nd-3rd meetings, the IRC moved forward with Map 13A with adjustments resulting in a possible Map 13A v11. California Redistricting
- Explore California Redistricting Draft Maps. Note that from November 10, 2021, Escondido is visualized as U.S. Congressional District CD_SWRIV-NSD_DRAFT with San Marcos, Hidden Meadows and Valley Center; as State Assembly District AD_ESC-BONS-RAI_DRAFT with San Marcos; and as State Senate District SD_SD-POW-ESC_DRAF with Hidden Meadows and Valley Center. COVID-19 & Recovery
- Read-up on The First Year of COVID: A College Degree Was ‘an Insurance Policy’ Against Death and Half of San Diego Pandemic Deaths Were Immigrants.
- Contact Senator Feinstein and Senator Padilla and ask them to pass an inclusive recovery package under H.R.5376. Note that Representative Issa voted No on expanding child tax credits and universal preschool for children ages 3 and 4 among other “safety-net” expansions.
