Housing
  • Read-up on Grow the San Diego Way's Analysis of Real Housing Need Forecast and Stop Dismissing Concerns About the Risks of New Homes in Wildfire Zones. The new/old housing project proposal, Safari Highlands/Harvest Hills, is a prime example of the folly of putting residential housing in high wildlife zones.  This project may be voted on by the city council before the end of the year. It makes no sense, will exacerbate traffic, put 1,000s of people at risk, and undo any progress we make in a climate plan.
  • Contact SANDAG and ask them to consider the above information and fix the inflated the housing forecast that SANDAG has relied on.
Trump Impeachment
  • Listen to The Report, Episode Six: Back Channels.
  • Contact Rep. Hunter, Senator Feinstein and Senator Harris and ask them to support H.Res.257 to begin investigating whether Trump should be impeached. See Demand the House Open an Impeachment Inquiry, Demand your member of Congress support Rep. Tlaib's Impeachment Resolution and Impeach Trump Now.

  • Contact Rep. Hunter, Senator Feinstein and Senator Harris and express concerns about Immigration and Customs Enforcement Bureau’s final rule to overturn the Flores settlement and detain migrant children and their families indefinitely.  See Block the Indefinite Detention of Migrant Families. Note: The Trump administration decided to proceed with proposed rule to overturn the Flores settlement after the comments period ended in November 2018 and receiving 100,073 comments, many opposing the rule.
