Welcome to Escondido Indivisible’s action plan for the week of September 23, 2024! We're ~44 days away from Election Day on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Mail ballots will be mailed after October 6th to all registered voters in San Diego County. Register to vote, check your voter registration, track your mail ballot and plan to vote!

- Tuesday, September 24, 2024, 10:00 AM: San Diego County Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting at Board of Supervisors North Chamber Room 310, 1600 Pacific Highway, San Diego, CA 92101. Agenda includes Item #12 on Youth Behavioral Health Continuum Framework and #14 on Aging Roadmap Update. Live broadcast of the meeting will be at sandiegocounty.gov here. Actions
Election 2024
- Register to vote if you’re eligible, check your voter registration, sign-up to track your mail ballot and plan to vote. The Presidential Election will be on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, and mail ballots will be mailed starting the week of October 6 to all registered voters in San Diego County.
- Volunteer to Get Out the Vote (GOTV) and signup to canvas, phone/text bank or write postcards with the Escondido Democratic Club, National Indivisible, Women for Kamala Harris or Postcards To Voters.

Reproductive Rights
- Read-up on Abortion Bans Have Delayed Emergency Medical Care. In Georgia, Experts Say This Mother’s Death Was Preventable, Pregnancy deaths rose by 56% in Texas after 2021 abortion ban, analysis finds and Louisiana hospitals and pharmacists prep for new abortion pills rules.
- Contact Representative Issa, Representative Peters, Senator Butler and Senator Padilla and ask them to pass legislation to codify abortion, contraception and reproductive rights into federal laws such as H.R.782, H.R.3420 and H.R.4303. Note that Representative Issa had previously praised the overturn of Roe vs. Wade and voted against codifying abortion rights. Judiciary Reforms
- Read-up on How Chief Justice Roberts Shaped Trump’s Supreme Court Winning Streak, The End of Judicial Independence and Ginni Thomas Email Praised Group Opposing SCOTUS Reform.
- Contact Representative Issa, Representative Peters, Senator Butler and Senator Padilla and ask them to pass legislation to enforce a code of conduct for the Supreme Court (see previous proposed S.325/H.R.927) and expand SCOTUS such as S.1616/H.R.3422. See Reform the Supreme Court.
