- Wednesday, November 20, 2024, 5:00 PM: Escondido City Council Meeting at City Hall Council Chambers, 201 North Broadway, Escondido, CA 92025. Live broadcast of the meeting will be at escondido.12milesout.com here (When a meeting is in session, a red "Live Streaming - City Council Meeting now in progress" button will be displayed at the top-right corner). Public comments may be made via Public Comment Form.
Actions
Election 2024
- Vote by Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Mail ballots have been mailed to all registered voters in San Diego County and can be dropped off at a Registrar Ballot Drop Box Location which includes Escondido Public Library, HHSA North Inland Live Well Center, Major Market, Oakmont of Escondido Hills and East Valley Community Center between now and Election Day. Voter Info Pamphlet can be found at sdvote.com.
To vote in-person, you can cast a ballot at a vote center on Monday, November 4, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Election Day, November 5, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Vote centers in Escondido include North County Mall Community Room at 272 E Via Rancho Pkwy and Park Avenue Community Center Oak Room at 728 N Broadway.
- Volunteer to Get Out the Vote (GOTV) and signup to canvass or phone/text bank with the Escondido Democratic Club, National Indivisible, and Women for Kamala Harris or to help cure ballots with the Democratic National Committee and with various other organizations/campaigns.

Reproductive Rights
- Read-up on A Woman Died After Being Told It Would Be a “Crime” to Intervene in Her Miscarriage at a Texas Hospital and A Pregnant Teenager Died After Trying to Get Care in Three Visits to Texas Emergency Rooms.
- Contact Representative Issa, Representative Peters, Senator Butler and Senator Padilla and ask them to pass legislation to codify abortion, contraception and reproductive rights into federal laws such as H.R.782, H.R.3420 and H.R.4303. Note that Representative Issa had previously praised the overturn of Roe vs. Wade and voted against codifying abortion rights.
