Did You Know?

Some of us drink hot tea all year round, but for the rest of us, there's much more we can do with tea in the summer than simply ice it! Most of the photos above were taken as part of the Tips & Techniques for Chilled Tea Treats eBook I wrote, which has recipes and ideas for everything from tea popsicles to sparkling tea, tea semi-freddo, and even DIY freeze pops with tea!

Get inspired with recommendations for tea to use in mocktails and cocktails, make your own iced matcha lattes at home, and learn about using tea in one of my favorite Vietnamese desserts (the name of which confusingly references a completely different Thai dessert).

And yes, it also has instructions on my recommendations for easily making regular iced tea that's full of natural flavor (which you can also read for free in the Iced Tea Guide on the Discover Teas website).

The eBook is on sale all summer long, for your cooling-off and enter-tea-ning needs!

Current PRE-shipping order processing time:

4–8 business days (excluding weekends/holidays)

Processing times are updated as needed on the website slideshow and our order shipping & fulfillment page and may change without notice depending on order volume. If you need your tea by a certain date that is more than a week out, please write a note in the Customer Notes section at checkout and I will do my best, but I do not have any control over shipping times and cannot guarantee delivery by a certain date.

Shop our entire selection of tea and teaware by clicking here, or make a custom order request using this form link! If you prefer to order by phone, you can also call or text us at (757) 847-5190. Voicemails and texts will be responded to during business hours (excluding holidays).

Orders over $65 ship FREE, all other orders ship for a flat fee of $5.95!

Want to create something uniquely your own? Interested in pre-bagged tea samples for your next event? Call, text, or e-mail to set up a free virtual custom blend consultation!

Pride Month donations:
Supporting LGBT Life Center of Hampton Roads and the Lavender Rights Project!

As the attacks on the lives and civil rights of our trans family, friends, and neighbors increase, it's more important than ever to support trans organizations not only nationally but also in our local communities.

This June, as part of the years-long tradition of Discover Teas donation drives supporting marginalized communities, 20% of all online retail sales (not including tax and shipping) will be donated to LGBT Life Center, which is based in Norfolk and Hampton and provides services throughout the 757, and the Lavender Rights Project, which serves people in Washington State as well as nationwide.

If you've already stocked up on tea but would still like to donate, you can donate directly to LGBT Life Center here and to the Lavender Rights Project here.

June Action Hour:
Wednesday, June 11th, 7:00pm Eastern!

As I mentioned in March's newsletter, I've launched a completely optional incentive program called "Take a Stand, Make a Plan", which offers a $25 Discover Teas gift card code for donations or actions we take to protect the most vulnerable among us and support democracy in this turbulent time.

For more details on how to qualify for and redeem the incentives, and what you can do during action hour (such as finding organizations supporting your local community, contacting your representatives to fight for our access to Medicaid and public healthcare, discussing recent wins for compassion and empathy, or, for this month, seeing what we can do as part of No Kings Day on June 14th), please see the Incentivizing Change blog post.

  • This month's Take a Stand, Make a Plan Action Hour will be Wednesday, 06/11/25, at 7:00pm Eastern. I know everyone's schedule is different, so I intend to offer different hours on different days each month so people in different timezones or who have different schedules can also participate.
  • Click this link to join the June Action Hour on 06/11/25 at 7:00pm Eastern/4:00pm Pacific. Please do NOT share this link with people who are not subscribed to the newsletter, although you are welcome to invite people to subscribe to get access for future sessions.
  • These meetings take place over Jitsi Meet, a video conferencing platform that is free to use, works on desktop and mobile browsers without the need for an app (although one is available), does not require a login for attendees, and does not collect or sell your data. You do not need to use your full name, camera, or microphone in these meetings if you do not wish to.
