Discover Teas will be on an ordering hiatus between Tuesday, February 10th and Thursday, February 26th.
What does this mean? The website will NOT be shut down during this time, but physical orders placed during this time will not ship until late the first week of March (at the very earliest), processed in the order they were placed. Please see the Shipping & Fulfillment page for the most up-to-date processing times, and note that as usual, processing times do not include weekends or holidays.
Exception: Digital-only sales such as gift cards and/or eBooks will continue to be processed as usual during this time. Thank you so much for your understanding!
Did You Know:
Although they're generally associated with holidays such as Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, chocolate-covered strawberries are a year-round favorite flavor combination for many, especially since the sweetness of chocolate can help offset the tart bite of strawberries when out of season. Due to the high water content of the fruit and the delicate temperature and humidity balance this treat needs to stay fresh, this tasty twosome is at its best when just made and doesn't last very long in storage.

Black History Month Donation Drive: 20% of retail sales will be donated to Liberation Medicine School and Urban League of Hampton Roads!
Liberation Medicine School is building an autonomous health/care ecosystem that prioritizes Black Trans wellness and liberation. Their Black Trans Immigrant Safety Fund is a community fundraiser to support the survival needs of Black trans immigrants, asylum seekers, and refugees at threat in the United States as well as their home countries.
Urban League of Hampton Roads, formed in 1978, is the local affiliate of the National Urban League, the oldest nationwide community-based movement for the empowerment of Black Americans. It provides programming, advocacy, and direct services in helping connect local communities with housing, health, education, and employment opportunities.

These meetings use Jitsi Meet, a video conferencing platform that is free to use, works on desktop and mobile browsers without the need for an app (although one is available), does not require attendees to log in, and does not collect or sell your data. You do not need to use your full name, camera, or microphone in these meetings unless you want to.
What's an Action Hour? Check out my blog post on the completely optional "Take a Stand, Make a Plan" incentive program to encourage protecting human rights and building stronger communities. By participating by either donating to an organization or joining an Action Hour, you can receive a $25 Discover Teas gift card code to use or to gift.
You're always welcome to join Action Hour, even if you don't have any specific plans for that time. It's a great space to brainstorm ideas, share resources, think about different groups we can reach out to, and come up with helpful scripts or schedules that can lessen the cognitive and emotional load of these tasks. It can also be an opportunity to discuss strategies for managing the deluge of dire news in a productive fashion while still staying informed and compassionate, ways to help keep each other safe, and how to identify or recover from burnout, so we can feel strengthened and less alone.
Can't make it? I know everyone's schedule is different, so Action Hour days and times vary each month so people in different timezones or who have different schedules can also participate.
