Facebook recently launched Creator Assistant, an AI tool built into its creator dashboard

Facebook have rolled out an AI tool that is built into the user’s dashboard, intended to assist the creator with tasks such as identifying engagement trends, highlighting the user’s best-performing content, and providing fresh content ideas.

It is currently available only to creators in the US, Canada, and India, but it is being expanded to more regions soon.

Instagram opens Reels ad placement to all advertisers

Instagram is planning to expand its post-view ad format in Reels to all advertisers worldwide. The ads auto-play after the previous Reel has ended and can be skipped. Currently, ads will only appear after Reels that last longer than 60 seconds. Creators and businesses can select these ads as an additional placement within their Reels ad setup in Campaign Manager.

Spotify launches more in-depth analytics for podcast creators

Spotify is introducing “new charts, metrics, and trends tools within Spotify for Creators” to provide greater insight into audience engagement. Creators will now be able to see metrics such as how many of their fans are new or returning, engagement rates, and how many people listen to a whole episode.

The platform has also updated its standard for play counts to reflect the number of times an episode was watched or listened to for at least thirty seconds. This is intended to accurately present the number of users intentionally listening rather than clicking on the episode by accident.

LinkedIn launches Creator Marketplace to connect brands with creators

LinkedIn has launched Creator Marketplace, a way for brands to connect with relevant creators by easily filtering by topic and content expertise before assessing the creator’s audience and performance. This enables creators to be discovered by large brands and to develop partnership opportunities. The tool is now available within Campaign Manager.

TikTok and Sundance team up for microseries writing program

TikTok is collaborating with Sundance Institute to offer a microseries writing program, starting on July 2nd. It will be a four-week, live online writing course for TikTok creators and other types of creatives, focused on scriptwriting essentials for episodic instalments of 60 to 120 seconds (e.g. microdramas). Creators can apply here.
