In today’s newsletter: excellent update and a last push for Common Bonds 3, and an end-of-Pride sale of queer heroes!

🎉 WE ARE FUNDED 🎉

Last Saturday, we hit our funding goal of C$12,000! So before anything else, a massive thank you to any of you who have backed or shared this campaign. It’s a lot of money you’ve all once more put into my hands and I am eternally grateful for it, and very excited to use it to create a beautiful anthology of aromantic stories.

But of course, it’s not over. We still have a week left to gather funds, and our first stretch goal involves giving more money to our authors.

I really, really want to get there because we have managed to pay our authors the full 0.08 USD on every other Common Bonds. In a way, every dollar in the campaign goes to our authors.

I also happen to personally have a short story available exclusively through this campaign! With a cover I painted myself!!

Kaeralgan the Vicious and the Sky Mobulas is a friendship cozy fantasy story of ~7500 words. I wrote extensively about the process on Patreon (now accessible to all) but the short is: I had a ton of fun and I think it shows. This won’t be available anytime soon elsewhere. It involves a crime lord magically-reduced in size, an air-headed scientist obsessed with flying manta rays magical poop, and what happens when you shed the pressures of expectations to let your silly inside self show. :3

I deeply love this story. If you want it but only it, you can always use the “Chip in” option on our BackerKit campaign to grab it as an Add On, and it will be $5 canadian total (which is only ~$3 US). Every little bit counts, so don’t be shy!

I’m part of a cool little sale to celebrate the end of pride: Queer Heroes. This one focuses on books with, you guessed it, queer heroes that don’t focus on romance. Obviously I had to jump in!

I picked Awakenings for this, since Nerezia as a series has so much to say about “heroes” to begin with. Also quick shoutout to The Citizen of Eastport because we share a cover artist (Eva) <3
