Big SFF Sale and Talking Kindle Alternatives

If you love books and are on a budget, this is the email for you. There’s a big sale this weekend, and if you’re a fast reader, I can tell you where to get all my books on a subscription.

First, the bi-annual Narratess Indie Sale is back! Out of all the big sales with a bunch of books either free, 99¢, or $1.99 this is my favourite. I have Baker Thief as part of this sale, at that shiny 99¢ price point.
Starting last year, the Narratess also puts together itchio bundles where you can grab a selection of these books all at once. I’m part of the Fantasy 2 bundle and the Mid-Range novels.
This time around I also put together a small highlight? These are here for various reasons so I gave them a colour code!

Purple Heart: I read this and enjoyed it!
Pink Heart: Common Bonds 3 author!!
Orange Heart: I read other books by this author and enjoyed them, so this ought to be good too!
Green Heart: Tagged as aromantic and perked my interest.

Sale events are a great way to get a lot of books quickly, but if you are a fast reader and want a good pool to continuously draw from, there are also subscriptions services (and the library, obviously).
I’ve taken the habit of marking which of the books I want to read are in Kobo Plus, and every now and then I subscribe for a month and focus on those.
All my books are in Kobo Plus. I get paid per chunks of minute you’re reading, too, so it’s just as good as a sale. Plus, unlike the Kindle subscription, this one doesn’t demand exclusivity, so I can have my books there and elsewhere!
There’s plenty of genres available, but here is a link to the fantasy section. Below are two groups of books that are all in Kobo Plus: the big one is from my TBR, the small one are what I read and enjoyed last time I used it.

Happy reading everyone!

I am making a more concerted effort to breathe some steady life into Patreon. So I started with longer reviews of recent ace & aro book reads. Here are the posts up since the last round up, and there’s already one more scheduled. :D
