The newsletter you’re reading is the home of the world’s first limerepic: a translation of Ovid’s Latin poem The Art of Love (Ars amatoria) into English limericks. If you like education, wordplay, ancient Rome, love, verbal stunts, or things that have never been done before, this just might be the ticket for you.
I’m Christopher Michael Brunelle. Ever since I was a kid, and perhaps I still am, I’ve loved playing with words. I used to teach Latin and Greek at several colleges and universities, and I still write Latin poems now and then. And as far as I can tell, Ovid is ancient Rome’s best poet, so I think he’s worth your time.
