May (2026) Monthly Update
MerMay is upon us, but a lot of things have been accelerating to a point where the juggling is getting harder. Gotta make time on my side but for now, let’s get into it.
Art Update
I might have stumbled into something that might have benefited me. I’ve been making quite a bit of art on the road to conventions and artist alleys. What this has lead into is actually a backlog that has not been released yet, and it could lead into June with the stuff I forgot to post. What does that mean? It means that I can focus on the Fanart Polls I’ve been neglecting, I can use that time to rest, and use that time to build up to bigger projects.
MerMay Sale!
It’s that time of the year again! While I do wish I had more planned out, I’m not going to let that disway me. All Merfolk-related commissions and merch will be getting a 15% discount (+ any discounts related to Monthly Supporters!). I know I tend to be known for it and hope people have been looking forward to MerMay as much as I have.
Month of OCs Update
Given everything, it is looking like it’ll be a much more quiet plan. With only one main art project that will require quite a bit a work. So if people do want to get involved that would be great, but it looks to be mostly prompts and tips. Some sacrifices need to be made, but if I can finish this on a good note, that is what matters to me right now.
Site 2.0 needed sooner than I thought
With how the internet is going, it does feel like it’s good to get around to the second version of my site, just the issue is time and energy. I might need to commission someone but at the same time I’m struggling to trust someone due to how prominent AI Lazy Coding seems to have infiltrated the space. It might take a good amount of looking thru programer’s portfolios to get a good look. I know I want art up there with an API, a dedicated space for my OCs, and more. A GIANT undertaking but more than worth it.
Conclusion
I wish I had more to discuss but I can feel my brain actually feel tired. Possible burn out or need some extra rest. Here’s hoping for a smooth May.
