Scripture: Jonah 2

12:30 PM Adult Sunday School: "Parables: Concealing the Truth in Evangelism" Join us as we look at some familiar parables as we consider how Jesus communicated the news of the Kingdom of God to people of His day and how we might communicate to the world around us.

Church Luncheon: Immediately following our Sunday School.
All are invited. Plan to stay for food and fellowship.

Reminder: This Sunday the church will be providing hot dogs, rolls and condiments. Feel free to bring chips, or something similar, if you like.

Snacks: All are welcome to bring snacks as they desire.

Special Prayer Requests

  • Mark and Martha Herzer - Praise God, Mark is home! Please continue to pray for his recovery as he regains his strength.

While Mark recovers, he will be on medical leave. If you have any questions or any needs, please contact one of the elders. Their contact information is on the back of the weekly bulletin, or you can just reply to this newsletter.

  • Joseph's Father - Please pray for his continued recovery from bypass surgery.
  • Jeff & Elena Kermah - Praise God that more and more are attending their Sunday morning worship. Pray that the Lord will provide a larger place to meet. Jeff asks specific prayer that he might be able to disciple a certain young man who is in his final year of college, and for a college administrator whom Jeff sees as potential elder material.

Continue to pray for Elena and her health as she homeschools the older children.

Catechism Review

Don’t forget to keep up with your Westminster Shorter Catechism (WSC)! We are reviewing Q&A #63 this week:

Q. 63. Which is the fifth commandment?

A. The fifth commandment is, Honor thy father and thy mother; that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
