Special Prayer Requests

  • Pastor Mark Herzer - Please continue to pray for Mark that the Lord would use his new medication to strengthen his heart. He is scheduled for a heart MRI in Bethlehem on June 16th.

Pray also for Martha as she cares for her mom (Jan), and that the Lord might have mercy on Jan and open her eyes to receive Christ.

  • Tim Roof - Tim is still in the hospital (as of Thursday morning). Pray for Tim's healing, pain reduction, and that the doctors would be able to pinpoint the issue and treat accordingly. Pray also that the Lord would sustain both Tim and Donna, physically and emotionally.
  • Patty Carnes - Hernia surgery has been scheduled for Monday, June 1st. Let them know if you would like to offer a ride to and/or from the Doylestown Hospital since Terry is not allowed to drive yet.

Catechism Review

Don’t forget to keep up with your Westminster Shorter Catechism (WSC)! We are learning Q&A #57 this week:

Q. 57. Which is the fourth commandment?

A. The fourth commandment is, Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: but the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

This is the longest answer in the entire WSC! It only gets easier from here on out!

Upcoming Events

May 27th - Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting via Zoom. We will read and discuss a devotional passage, and spend some time in prayer. Contact Pastor Mark or one of the elders if you would like to receive the weekly Zoom link.

Graduate Corner

As we are entering graduation season, we thought it would be nice to take some time to recognize some of our graduates from both last year and this year.

Ezra Sterrett (Cairn University, May 9, 2026) - Ezra is looking for a teaching position at a classical Christian school in the Harrisburg area. Please pray that the Lord would provide.

News and Announcements

New Streaming Options - We are now livestreaming directly to Sermon Audio. If everything works right, it will be simulcast to FaceBook as well. Sermon Audio calls it a Webcast and you can find it on the church's SermonAudio page. As before, you can also view using the church’s Facebook page.

Peace and Grace to you,
Elder Terry Carnes
