Treasure Coast Indivisible Notes
Good morning. And happy new year.
Some of you will be getting this email twice. I am migrating us over to a different platform, Buttondown.com, to accommodate our growing email list. Please if you are one of my guinea pigs, let me know you received the second email.
This will be long with a lot of information.
First is the script from Indivisible to email or call Brian Mast and Ashley Moody to protest Trump’s unconstitutional war in Venezuela. Of course you can use your own script.
“ Hi, my name is [Your Name], and I’m a constituent from [Your City, State].
I’m outraged that the Trump administration is pushing us into war with Venezuela. They’ve escalated military pressure and taken over without a clear plan for transitioning power. All without authorization from Congress.
Your constituents do not want another endless war. We do not want more violence where US servicemembers and civilians are put in danger, just to serve Trump and his Big Oil cronies.
Congress must reassert its war powers. I’m counting on you to stand up to Trump and put a check on his power grab immediately. Thanks.”
The congressional switchboard will get you to the DC offices
202-224-3121.
Mast’s Stuart office is 772-403-0900.
PSL is 772-336-2877
Moody’s WPB is 561-775-3360
It’s important their mailboxes are full.
Second, let’s make our Wednesday protest at Mast’s office huge. Show him how angry we are. 11-12 @171 Flagler Ave. plus Pia Dandiya, candidate for Congress FL 21, has asked to join us
Third, I sent the invite to the WPB David Jolly event last week. Here is one in Port St Lucie
Treasure Coast Democratic Hispanic Caucus Town Hall With David Jolly · Mobilize
The Treasure Coast Democratic Hispanic Caucus is excited to bring our community together for a powerful and engaging conversation with Democratic gubernatorial candidate David Jolly. This is an opportunity to come together, share our voices, and discuss openly the issues affecting our families and Florida's future. Join us as we uplift our Hispanic communities, ask real questions, and help shape the future of our state.
Last for today is our monthly meeting this Thursday @5:30 at the Cummings Library, 2551 S Mattheson, Palm City. We have lots to plan for this year. We will send agenda and zoom link on Thursday morning.
