Treasure Coast Indivisible Notes
Good morning
Today is another WCID day.
First, you can comment to the National Park Service your thoughts on the “big beautiful Trump arch planned for DC.
The NPS public comment period closes June 15 — just 5 days away.
The National Park Service opened a public comment period on June 5 running through June 15, as part of its responsibilities under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. They’re asking the public to weigh in on a report examining the potential effects of the proposed Triumphal Arch.
To submit your comment:
Go to the NPS PEPC (Planning, Environment & Public Comment) portal at parkplanning.nps.gov and search for “Triumphal Arch” or “Independence Arch.” You can submit a written comment directly there.
I know many of us ( me included) commented to the National Preservation For the Arts Comission, but they voted to go ahead with it anyway. But we get a second chance.
Second, in the same NPS vein is Utah’s Grand Staircase-Escalante.
Call (or email) Ashley Moody to protect Utah’s Congress Grand Staircase-Escalante.
“Hello, my name is ______ and I’m calling from ______ (address). I’m calling to ask that the Senator vote NO the joint resolution that would overturn the current management plan for Utah’s Grand Staircase-Escalante. If passed, resource extraction will threaten the monument’s 1.87 million acres of wildlife habitat, red-rock landscapes and archaeological, cultural and recreation sites. It would also block the creation of similar management plans in the future, setting a dangerous precedent for public lands across the US.”
My husband and I have spent lots of time in Utah and the Grand Staircase is just amazing and sacred Native American grounds.

And then there is this—our security
Call or email Senator Moody
Hi, my name is ______ and I’m calling from ________ (address). I am calling to ask that the Senator vote no on any FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) extension unless there are strong privacy protections added, like closing the data broker loophole and ending warrantless surveillance. Please also block the confirmation of the inadequate and dangerous Bill Pulte as the Director of National Intelligence. We need Pulte gone AND we need privacy protections - both are essential to protect Floridians. Thank you.
Now for more fun on Trump’s unbirthday party, Ginger got this on Facebook

It starts at 1:00 in PSL so you can go to both!
Don’t forget Mast’s office protest today @11. We have so much to say to him.
Finally, thank you for all that you are doing, all the hard work of caring for democracy and your neighbors. Kindness, advocacy, support and conversation all matter.
