Episode 27: 2011 with Kristen Meinzer
A podcast about the great movie years.
Kristen Meinzer was already a movie podcaster during her very good year, 2011 - when she noticed a trend of women behaving badly in mainstream movies that still makes her happy. What did not make her happy were some of my 2011 favorites, AND THAT’S FINE - we can all agree that the year's Oscar winners were, as usual, lame as hell.
As we mention in the intro, Kristen does a LOT of podcasting - you can hear her on "Movie Therapy with Rafer & Kristen," "By the Book," “Romance Road Test,” and “The Royal Report,” as well as on NPR’s “Pop Culture Happy Hour.” (Check out more of her shows here.) She’s also the author of So You Want to Start a Podcast: Finding Your Voice, Telling Your Story, and Building a Community that Will Listen and How to Be Fine: What We Learned from Living by the Rules of 50 Self-Help Books. Oh, and here is her website!
