Good afternoon, my little ghosties,

It’s hot outside, so today I’m staying in and making my spooky little plans for the rest of the month.

Apparently, October 1 is officially ‘Pumpkin Spice Day’ - go figure! I haven’t had anything pumpkin spice yet this year, so I’m writing up a lil grocery list. Any recommendations I should try?

I’m also making a movie list, to try to reduce decision fatigue later on in October. So far, that list includes Marama (2025) (Maori Victorican gothic hroror) and Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma (2026) (queer surreal slasher).

Criterion also put up a collection of Kiyoshi Kurosawa films - his movie Pulse from 2001 about existential dread, ghosts and the internet is one of my all-time favs, so I am suuuper excited to dig into everything on there.

I also thought the new Resident Evil movie was good fun! (Although I did have to sleep with a night light on after…)
