The Zevvletter #5 — Shared data, 'rona and rain ☔️
Hello! You’re getting this email because at some point you signed up for updates about Zevvle, the mobile network built for you. If you don’t want to get these emails, definitely unsubscribe — we only want to send these to you if you look forward to getting them. ✌️
Happy Saturday/Samstag/Samedi!
Let's get down to business.
Shared account data
We've transitioned to shared data plans! That means 1 account, as many SIMs as you need and 1 shared data allowance across everything. We've also removed the data-only SIMs and added pay-as-you-go calls and texts, still with the optional unlimited calling and messaging bundle.
We're excited about this as it makes things a lot simpler for managing multiple SIMs — with individual plans, the more SIMs you had the more faff it was.
Here's the pricing, and you can read more about it in our blog post.
'Rona reporting and Flux receipts
In case you missed it, we reported on a few statistics for network usage during COVID-19 (so far). We can't draw many conclusions, but data usage definitely decreased for a few months on some of our older plans:
We also integrated with Flux, meaning digital Zevvle receipts in your bank account (if you use Monzo or Starling). There's a switch in-app to turn it on, and we've disabled it by default as we don't want to send your data to a third-party without your permission.
In other news
Along with launching shared data, we gave our website a fresh coat of pixels. It was getting dusty, so we hope it's a little clearer what we're about and why Zevvle is so darn artisanal. There are plenty of fancy waves and colourful gradients, too:
We also published a list of what we're working on in the short-term. It's not everything we want to do, but what we feel is most pressing for now. If there's anything else you'd like to see let us know!
We hope you enjoy the rain — there've been a few leeks at Zevvle HQ, so we've switched to onions instead (also useful for our router).
Have a great week,
Nick 🌧
