Don't watch this if you're vegan! But I've always been curious how most of these meats are made, from hot dogs to salami, and this is a perfect demonstration.

Outdoor Boys channel is back

Outdoor Boys was probably the most popular practical adventure channel focused on camping, fishing, survival skills, and DIY outdoor projects ran by Luke. He said "goodbye" 5 months ago citing that channel’s rapid growth brought overwhelming public attention and concerns about his family’s ability to live a normal life (he has almost 20 million followers).

And now he's back! Well, Luke said he wouldn't upload too many, but great to see anything from him.

There are many other similar channels, my favorite alternative being Xander Budnick.

The deadly geography of Mount Everest

Everest has had over 330 deaths since 1921 and roughly 200 bodies are still on the mountain. To me, this map seems like the new "plane with the bullet holes" image, because it shows a clear bias: the path with the least deaths is actually the most dangerous here.

The City of London is medieval corporation

Today I learned that the City of London, a small financial district at London’s core, is actually still a medieval self-governing enclave. It's governed by the City of London Corporation and has its own bylaws, governance processes, and historic privileges, including a dedicated police force. The Corporation has a strong autonomy in planning and regulation, with businesses voting for decision and the ceremonial Lord Mayor.

Coca Cola has an executive who is solely in charge of their relationship with McDonalds

McDonald’s is an estimated 25% of Coca Cola’s total sales. Makes sense they have a dedicated executive for this entire business. They’ve worked hand-in-hand since 1955.

Coca-Cola ships Coke and Diet Coke syrup to McDonald’s in special metal containers (which preserve taste better than plastic syrup bags that other customers get), dilutes it less with water for a higher concentration. And the water itself has specialized water filtration system at every location for consistent results.
